Quick Weekday Project: How To Make Use of Old Books

I can never blog as religiously as others do. I already know that by now. I’ve just been so busy with work, and of course, traveling.

Everyday, I think of something I can blog about – photos of my travels, some tips perhaps, etc. But it takes forever to materialize, sorry about that.

Anyway, here’s something that I did over one of the weekdays, before I started working that morning. You see, I’ve been selling my stuff HERE in case anyone’s interested, and so far, that’s how 1 cabinet of books were disposed to the right people (those who’d appreciate it) in 3 days. But of course, there are some books that would really not be useful to anyone. I tried, but it seems no one’s interested in them. So I’ve been keeping them in our sala’s table wonderin’ how they could be of use.

And then it hit me. Why not use them as decoration instead?

After all, I had a lot of unused wrapping paper (you can also print the prints you want if you wish, or just use different colored paper and they’ll still look pretty!)

Old Books (hardbound/ soft copy) + Scissors + Tape + Wrapping/ Printed Paper

These are wrapping paper I got from a bazaar and from Divisoria.

Tada, wrapped and now ready for decoration!

Now on display…Goodbye, eye sore!

I see photos of old books being used as bookshelves, so maybe we’d try doing that one day. For now, I’m just relieved they don’t have to be an eyesore around the house anymore. And the good thing is, you can still read the books if you wish. You can do this to your books that have been battered by time and use.

Quick DIY for my piece of mind. 🙂
